Lonely..

My aunt and cousin Corey's family were just here for a visit. We really enjoyed spending time with them. Amelia and her little cousin Kaylie got along so well. They were like sisters--instant BFFs. It was adorable....see?!?!

Now I have to scramble up some good local friends for her that she will hopefully like even half as much as she loved Kaylie. *sigh*

They danced together, held hands, cuddled, kissed, and even took one super cute bath together one night. We'll see them again in July when we're in Chicago, but it's sad that they can't hang out all the time. Sometimes I feel like such a jerk for living so far from family, even though I know our home right now is here in Denver.

We have a playdate set for Friday. Fingers crossed that Mommy doesn't find some way to muck it all up.

So sick...

of being sick! Some wicked cold is going 'round and it's just taking its toll on me and Miss Pants. My husband graduated with his hard-earned Master's degree, and I didn't get to enjoy a second of the ceremony. Amelia had meltdown after meltdown, was a snotty mess, and I feel weak and dizzy. Also, it was freezing outside, so I had the chills. Lovely. But... I did see him walk and everything.

I'm so proud of my graduate:

Our little bugaloo had a tough, tough time:

She couldn't understand why she couldn't just go to her Daddy and begged for the strawberries they were setting out for the reception. I asked for a few for her and they totally said no. Jerks! It would have totally calmed her down, and in the end, there were bowls upon bowls left. Oh well... In the end, she got her "gaw-berries" anyway:

Hopefully, we'll both be better by Monday so Amelia can go to school and we'll both be okay for our San Francisco/N. Cali trip.

I let Amelia pick out flowers for her daddy.

Digital Scrapbooking

I've been getting into digital scrapbooking lately, mostly to get some use out of the loads of pictures I take on a regular basis. This takes my images and presents them in a manner that is fun to view, and allows me to tell the story of the photo. I'm a freebie junkie, so most of the stuff I find was available for download by the incredibly talented and created artists who made them. After giving design a (feeble) go myself, I have to say that I'm super impressed by what the artists can do. So big props to them, and for the layouts that are not credited, I sincerely apologize and would correct it in a heartbeat if I knew!

Made with KPertiet's Flat Jack Animal House kit (not free).

I know the overlay is from Adeyeo, but I can't remember where the background or journal papers were from.
